Since I am vegan, I do love using almond milk for almost everything – for my porridge in the morning, my protein shake in the evening, for baking and so on. However, it is never easy to find really good almond milk without strange supplements and sugar. So this weekend I decided to make my own almond milk. And I am surprised how easy it was and it took me only one try and I had a super yummy almond milk.
At home, we made a quick almond milk drink test. I gave my husband two glasses of almond milk, one glass with the homemade one and the other one with the bought one. Guess which one he clearly preferred 🙂
I can only recommend to you to give it a try, you will be amazed.
SELFMADE ALMOND MILK
- 100 g almonds
- 1 liter water
- 2 tbsp Agave Syrup
- 1 tsp Vanilla
Put the almonds in a bowl and cover them with water. Let it soak for about 4 hours.
Put the almonds, 1l water, agave syrup, and vanilla into a mixer and mix everything until you have a liquid something.
Take a large glass and put a coffee filter in it.
Pour the milk into the coffee filter or nut milk bag step by step. You will see that a wonderful, beautifully white liquid comes into the vessel.
