Days are getting shorter, time flies and soon we will have Christmas. Meaning a lot of parties, shopping tours and we might miss the sun every now and then. All that requires a lot of energy. Our energy level is now often low. We are starting to eat a lot (sometimes maybe too much), drink more alcohol than usual, start snacking and we have some stress (finishing the last tasks before the year ends).
I would say it is time for some energy kick. At least I can need one every now and then at the moment, so I created my own healthy energy kick drink.
And probably you won’t be surprised if one of the main ingredients is turmeric 🙂 I just love it so much and try to pimp my meals/drinks with it. But you will see I have some more yummy super ingredients in my energy drink.
- 500 ml water
- Juice of 1 orange
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
- Piece of turmeric
- Piece of ginger
- Pinch of black pepper
Mix all the ingredients together. Take a sieve and sift the liquid into a bottle.
Enjoy your day and feel the extra little kick.
