Chocolate Energy Balls

Everyone knows those lows during a day, where you are craving for something sweet and delicious. For such lows, I usually prepare energy balls. They are quickly prepared over the weekend, and you can have a large variety.  If you use high-quality ingredients, they are also packed with vital substances e.g. protein or iron.

So I guess enough reasons to have a snack like that 🙂

Chocolate Balls

Total Time 20 minutes
Servings 25 balls


  • 1 cup cashew nuts soaked in water for 10 minutes
  • 1 cup pecan nuts soaked in water for 10 minutes
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil
  • 15 pieces medjool dates
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 25 g raw cacao powder
  • raspberry powder optional for dusting


  1. Add all ingredients to a mixer and blend until you have a smooth consistency. 

  2. Stop occasionally to scrape down the sides.

  3. Use a teaspoon to form small balls

  4. Optional: You can roll the balls in extra cacao powder or any other powder you would like e.g. raspberry powder

  5. Put energy balls into the fridge and let them cool a bit, before enjoying.
